If you are new to the sport of skiing and snowboarding our 1st timers/beginners group lesson is for you. In our specially designed learning area, we will get you up, moving, and sliding in no time. No need for fear or anxiety, our friendly, professional instructors will keep the focus on the fun as they guide you through the basic movements that allow you to control your speed and body position naturally. Our professional instructors help to remove traditional fears and anxieties associated with your first time sliding on snow, allowing you to focus purely on the lesson. Lesson availability is limited. Online reservations can be purchased up to 36 hours prior to your ski date. Same-day lessons are available based on instructor availability.
Learn-To-Ski & Snowboard Package:
Ideal for first-time skiers or snowboarders. This package includes a Full Day and Full Mountain Lift Ticket, Equipment Rental & includes one 90-minute beginner Group Lesson (limited to ages 8 years old and up). Lesson times: 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, and 4:00 PM daily, and an additional 9:00 AM lesson is offered on weekends and holiday periods. Hours may vary. Please arrive two hours prior to your lesson. Lesson availability is limited. Online reservations can be purchased up to 36 hours prior to your ski date. Group lessons are divided according to age and ability level. Class size ranges from 8 to 10 students per class. Group Lesson times: 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, and 4:00 PM daily, and an additional 9:00 AM lesson is offered lesson on weekends and holiday periods. Class length - 90 minutes; limited to ages 8 and up. Please arrive at least two hours prior to your lesson. Group Lesson Reservations must be made in advance. $35

Select your instructor or we can select one for you based on your present skills. Private Lesson times: 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM daily. Class length - 60 minutes. Online reservations are required 36 hours in advance, or you can call the ski school desk to check on day of availability. Arrive two hours prior to your lesson. $119

Private Lessons

Private Family Lessons:
Ideal for beginners and intermediate skiing and snowboarding families or friends.
Ages as young as 6 can participate in the family lesson. Family Lesson times: 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, and 4:00 PM daily. All participants must be in the same discipline (all skiers or all snowboarders).
Learning together as a family allows everyone to join in the fun! New for this season is a family lesson for families of 4 to 6. These lessons are 1 ½ hours with at least 60 minutes on the snow. Lessons are tailored to the lowest level skier or boarder in the group. If you have a beginner in your group, then everyone will be taught at the beginner level. Reservations are required 48 hours in advance. Arrive two hours prior to your lesson. $425

SkiWee & Snow Explorers:
Perfect for children ages 5 through 12 years old. Winterplace Ski Resort is all about family fun for all ages. SkiWee & Snow Explorers learn the basics in a private learning area adjacent to the main Resort Center. This specialized instructional program provides the best learning environment for children to learn to ski and snowboard. SkiWee & Snow Explorers use a group format dividing children by age and ability. Discounts are available for booking multiple days of this program. This 1/2-day program will provide your child with the basics for a lifetime of memories and FUN! $130
What to Expect – Winterplace is committed to helping your family learn how to ski and ride. Upon arrival, you’ll check in with your child at the SkiWee and Snow Explorers Building (the candy cane building). Once checked in, you will help get your child ready for the snow with the assistance of the Winterplace instructors. Everyone then heads outside to the teaching area with the rest of the kids. Parents are then able to go ski as their kids head off for some snowy fun.
Skiers and boarders learn the basics on our Specially Designed Learning area with 2 Super Carpet Lifts. Then beginner skiers and boarders may move on to our chairlifts which open up a variety of beginner slopes (green circle trails) to practice stops and turns.
